Trumbull provided site development services for the Tenaska 929-megawatt natural gas-fueled power plant in Westmoreland County, PA. The $55 million project included approximately 110 acres of cut and fill, 43 acres of tree clearing, 800,000 cubic yards of bulk excavation, 21,000 cubic yards of concrete, 1,600 tons of rebar, underground process piping, asphalt paving, and roadway construction. The scope also included all “anchor bolts down” activities, installation of foundations for two combustion turbine generators and one steam turbine generator, construction of a 768-cubic-yard steam turbine generator tabletop, placement of 300,000 square feet of slab on grade, and erection of five metal buildings.
