Overview
PJ Dick was the general contractor for construction of Marshall University’s new school of pharmacy academic building and a graduate student housing complex. The project was constructed as a public-private partnership.
The 49,600-sf, three-story academic building houses research, instructional, communal, and administrative areas. The facility has a steel structure with masonry and fiber panel exterior. Curtainwall windows provide daylight to the study spaces and offices.
The 108,400-sf graduate housing project included a five-story building that features 196 apartment-style units, accommodating pharmacy and medical students as well as resident physicians. The wood-framed apartments are located close to the university.
