Overview
PJ Dick provided preconstruction and Construction Management at Risk services for Bakery Living, a two-building residential development in Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood. Developed by Walnut Capital, the project includes two 176-unit apartment buildings—Bakery Blue and Bakery Orange—each approximately 225,000 square feet, along with two 55,000-square-foot parking garages on the former Reizenstein Middle School site.
Designed to foster a vibrant, community-oriented urban lifestyle, the development offers a range of unit types and resort-style amenities, including a fitness center, yoga studio, swimming pool, and dog wash area. Through a collaborative CM at Risk approach, PJ Dick successfully delivered both buildings between April 2013 and June 2016, with final construction values of $28 million for Bakery Orange and $30 million for Bakery Blue.
