Overview
PJ Dick provided CM at Risk services for the $89 million expansion and renovation of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The project included a 115,000 square-foot addition and 47,000 square feet of renovations featuring seven floors of contemporary learning environments supported by new high-efficiency HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. The facility included a divisible two-story lecture hall, team-based learning rooms, a gross anatomy lab, teaching laboratories with support spaces, and high-tech laboratory space. Work also included demolition, abatement, and utility relocations, with project savings retained and utilized to offset additional scope changes throughout construction. Completion in 2023.
