Overview

PJ Dick provided CM at Risk services for the construction of a 35,000-square-foot animal rescue center featuring administrative offices, a medical wing, and intake, adoption, and support service spaces. Working closely with the owner, design team, and board of directors from preconstruction through construction, PJ Dick provided consistent project leadership, reliable schedule and cost analysis, and collaborative decision-making. The team identified several value engineering opportunities, including balancing the sloped site to eliminate a retaining wall and right-sizing mechanical systems, helping reduce the project from a $13.6 million estimate to a final cost of $12.9 million.
