Overview

PJ Dick provided CM at Risk services for the $40 million construction of a new 173,000-square-foot, 10-story boutique hotel in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood. Completed in 2019, the hotel features 167 guest rooms, assembly and event space, a 24-hour fitness center, valet parking, and a 133-space parking garage occupying the first four floors of the building, with hotel rooms and amenities located on the upper six floors. As part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the hotel includes five event spaces and Spirits & Tales Brasserie Social, an 80-seat restaurant and lounge on the tenth floor with a corner terrace, floor-to-ceiling windows, and panoramic views of Oakland. The project’s elegant-industrial design incorporates riveted metal, wood, expansive glazing, and custom local details crafted by Pittsburgh artisans, creating a distinctive hospitality destination that reflects the character of the surrounding neighborhood.
