Overview
PJ Dick provided CM at Risk services for eight concurrent renovation projects totaling approximately 92,000 square feet. The $11.5 million project replaced three windowless auditorium-style classrooms with quieter, accessible learning spaces equipped with modern teaching technology, flexible seating arrangements, and a new student study area known as The Global Hub. Additional work included renovations to lobbies, offices, and restrooms, along with installation of new mechanical and electrical systems to support the upgraded spaces. Throughout the occupied renovation, the team coordinated closely with multiple university departments and two separate architectural teams while managing unforeseen abatement and underground tele/data conflicts. To minimize disruption to adjacent occupied classrooms and daily campus activities, the project team implemented ICRA barriers and negative air systems to control dust, odors, and debris during construction.
