Overview
Over the past 40 years, the Valley Forge Visitor Center and its museum has grown to be a world-class center welcoming more than two million visitors a year. The facility showcases artifacts from the 1779-78 winter encampment of the Revolutionary Army and houses exhibits illustrating United States history. The Visitor Center has become dated and the National Park Service (NPS) seeks to modernize the facility as well as make it more energy efficient.
